Day 3 of our trip took us out of Istanbul and we got on the tour bus headed towards Canakkale. We crossed the Dardanelles by ferry along the way as well as stopped in the city of Troy.
There wasn’t much left of the 4000 year old city of Troy other than ruins. It did have a really touristy wooden horse though!
We spent our night in Canakkale right by the water. It was pretty windy but that didn’t stop fisherman from going out along the water.
The producers of the movie Troy, donated this Trojan horse used in the movie to the city of Canakkale. It was more realistic looking then the tourist trap horse at the city of Troy.
