I recently decided that I needed a car to haul Zoe around. Having a lightly modified 1999 Mazda Miata is boat loads of fun especially with good weather and the top down. However when you have a baby girl, a two seater convertible isn’t the most practical car around. Now this isn’t the only car my family has, my wife drives a 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback which coincidentally she bought the same week as when I bought my 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback (we like our Mazdas). On days where my wife is at work and I have a day off, I can’t take my daughter out for a drive or to the park without needing to borrow the inlaws minivan.
So out with the old and in with the new. I’ve had the Miata for 2.5 years and I’ve only put less than 20,000 km on it. The car was extremely reliable during the short time I’ve owned it. I was hoping to keep it forever but alas, we don’t have the space for it. I have a new car coming soon which will be more practical and will be fun to drive too. Just a different type of fun. The new car arrives in a few weeks and I will unveil it then with a photoshoot. The Meowta will still be close by as a friend has purchased it and will hopefully enjoy it for years to come. I’m also keeping my Meowta plate though it won’t be as relevant on the new car. Please enjoy these parting shots of the car that I have enjoyed immensely.
